CES Day 1 (Thursday)

Sorry for the delay.
We have been here two days. We don't have any free internet so most of my browsing and any surfing is through my tethered E71. So, it is VERY slow. It took a long time to even upload these pictures. With a mixture of laziness, fatigue and inaccessible net we bring you day one coverage, which is hardly coverage and more like a diary entry.
Dear Diary,
In our hotel we found some secret rooms and explored them. It felt like we were in a zombie movie/game, nuclear fallout had arrived to Vegas or the rapture had happened and there was a blanket of non-acceptance from the strip.

We called it the Yellow Room. We haven't returned, yet.
One of the first places we ran in to was Motorola which was growing real grass! They also wouldn't let us take pictures of a phone that had already been released which was on display.

At Casio's booth they had a cool little toy roller coaster that was to demonstrate how you can still snap a clean picture with a fast moving object on one of their point and shoots.

They also said it takes 720p 1000FPS video. I did not believe them one bit. I have been wrong before, once.
A new (no?) Nintendo game coming out for Wii will feature a cool archery game that Tim, Dustin and I played. It was pretty fun. Here is a shot of Tim shooting a bullseye. We owned the other people who played before us!

We later walked by a booth for I don't remember what but they were demoing Gran Turismo 5. Dustin sat down and played it. We were all weary of letting him drive home after watching him play this...

There was a small booth on the side of one of the halls. The name of this product is (Something?) It is a round mouse. It is kinda awkward to use and has a gel cover that was different to say the least.

Samsung had a cool room. It had a lot of TVs all over and a reflective ceiling. Cool music was playing too which you can't hear in these pictures. It felt like I was trippin' balls but I assure you that was not the case.

Another section in Samsung's area was this subwoofer underwater. It was pretty neat. I took a video of it but no way is it gonna upload over this crappy connection so you will have to settle for a picture.

Also, At D-Link we got to check out the new Boxee Box. I will let Dustin elaborate on this. Needless to say it is a pretty cool item!

We ate Wednesday night at Burger Bar. I think I enjoyed it the most out of us 5. Here is my dinner.

Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, and lettuce with sweet potato fries. YUMMY!
PS.
We also saw Lady Gaga, I didn't get a picture. One of our photographers did though. I would get a picture from them except everyone else is asleep. Her hair was crazy!
ew lady gaga. thats all i have to say.
...jk. looks like good nerdy fun
looks cool! any good swag so far?
Wait. You seriously saw lady gaga? At CES? ...ok. Oh and lol at the trippin balls part.
I got something for both you and Feek, Eric, you should like it.
The overhead surface of a room, usually a covering or decorative treatment used to conceal the floor above or the roof. stainless sinks
Huzzah for spam! At least now there’s some activity on here. Also, what? The definition for ceiling and then a link to an alleged sink store. Seems legit.
